Welcome to the Second Amendment Sisters
Writers' Project! The Writers' Project is the
brainchild of Wyoming Co-Coordinator Jami Ford.
I am very pleased to announce that soon SAS volunteers and membership
will be working together to write a book. The purpose of this book will
to be to bring the voices of real women, real mothers, real daughters,
and real sisters out into the open where they can be heard. The focus of
the book project is still fairly broad. I have set certain questions
which I would love our members to address with their own individual
writings. The questions range from why you decided to join SAS, to
personal stories, to discussion of firearms legislation.
The beauty of this project is that it gives every SASter in our
membership the opportunity to be heard, in their own words, for their
own reasons, expressing their own passions which drive them to act. The
project is also open to perspectives outside the list of questions that
were developed to get us started. This book may well become a steadfast
vessel to carry our message to those who wouldn’t have heard it
otherwise.
If you would like to contribute to this project please
contact me. I am also very interested in getting the perspectives of
our youth members; for theirs is the voice that will carry the right to
self-defend to the generations that follow.
I am truly looking forward to working with you all on this project.
